The Nordic Spirit guideNordic Spirit: start with the number, then the flavor
How strong is Nordic Spirit? The short answer is three numbers. The cans on our shelf have 6mg, 9mg or 11mg of nicotine in each pouch, and the figure is printed on every one. Around those three numbers sit eight flavors. Four are mints, three are fruit, and one puts peppermint and berry in the same pouch. Every can holds 20 pouches in a single pouch size, so nothing else moves while you compare.
Here's how it works. This guide goes through the three strengths in order and tells you what each flavor is like at each one. Then it covers who makes the brand, where the numbers land on our strength scale, what Dry and Moist mean on the label, and how to narrow down a flavor. If you're an adult who uses nicotine pouches and likes a clear, organized lineup, you'll find your can quickly here.
01Who makes Nordic Spirit
Nordic Spirit is a JTI brand. According to the maker, it was created in Sweden at Vårgårda Kvarn, near Gothenburg, and first launched there in 2018. The maker says the pouches are now produced in Poland. The brand launched in the UK in 2019, starting with two flavors.
Two more dates help explain the lineup. Frosty Mint and Frosty Berry were announced in the UK in February 2025, and Raspberry, Tropical Mix and Forest Berries followed in May 2025. In 2026 the brand got a new look: a North Star logo, bolder colors, strength shown as dots on the can, and Dry or Moist printed on the pack. The maker says the flavors and strengths did not change.
02Where the numbers land on our strength scale
Our scale is based on the nicotine in a single pouch. Light is under 8mg. Medium is 8mg up to 16mg. Strong is 16mg up to 25mg, and extreme is 25mg and over. Nordic Spirit 6mg is light. Nordic Spirit 9mg and 11mg are both medium, two points apart in the same band.
The can uses different words. The maker's names are Regular for 6mg, Strong for 9mg and X-Strong for 11mg, and the lid also shows strength as dots next to the mg figure. Those names and dots belong to the maker's own system, so they won't match our bands word for word. Our product titles skip the strength word and show the number. That means our Mint 9mg is the can labeled Mint Strong, and our Frosty Berry 11mg is Frosty Berry X-Strong. The mg figure is the same everywhere, so use it as your guide.
03Dry and Moist on the label
Nordic Spirit comes in two ranges, and each pack is labeled with one of them. The Dry range covers Mint and Spearmint, and the maker describes it as a drier feel. The Moist range covers Sweet Mint, Raspberry, Forest Berries, Tropical Mix, Frosty Mint and Frosty Berry. The maker describes Moist as increased moisture for a softer feel and a quicker flavor release. It's a difference in feel, and neither range is ranked above the other. The short answer on choosing is to pick the flavor you want and let the label tell you which feel comes with it.
04What comes in the can
Every Nordic Spirit can we carry holds 20 pouches. The pouch is the same size across all three strengths. The maker calls that size Standard, and it's also commonly described as slim. The pouches contain no tobacco. The lid has a compartment for used pouches, and the maker says the newer Moist cans are a slimmer can. Strength, flavor and the Dry or Moist label are the only things that change from one can to the next.
05How to pick a Nordic Spirit flavor
Settle the strength first, because not every flavor comes at every number. Sweet Mint is the only one at all three. Spearmint, Raspberry and Forest Berries come at 6mg and 9mg. Mint, Frosty Mint and Frosty Berry come at 9mg and 11mg. Tropical Mix comes at 6mg.
After that, the question is mint or fruit. For a classic mint, look at Mint, which is menthol and peppermint, or Spearmint, which is sweet spearmint with menthol freshness. For mint with sweet notes, there's Sweet Mint. For peppermint that's fresh and icy, there's Frosty Mint. On the fruit side, Raspberry is sweet and tangy, Forest Berries is wild berries and blackcurrant, and Tropical Mix is pineapple and mango. Can't decide between the two? Frosty Berry gives you peppermint up front and berry at the finish. A good place to start is the flavor family you already reach for, at the strength you already use.
