ZIXS is made by Microzero AB in Gothenburg, Sweden, a family business that runs its own flavour lab, which goes some way to explaining how a can like this gets made. Every pouch carries 12mg, which puts it in the medium band on our scale. Sweet fruit first, a bit of warmth after. It's the kind of can that starts conversations.
What it tastes like
Tastes like a blueberry jam that somebody has been a little creative with. The blueberry does the opening work, sweet and round, the sort of fruit you'd find in a muffin at a good bakery. Then the chilli arrives, not as a wallop but as a warmth that sits at the back and keeps the sweetness interesting. The two don't fight.
