Cherry Cola, into the strong band
What changes when a flavour moves up a band? With SNU Cherry Cola, nothing in the taste and everything in the number. The brand makes this flavour at four strengths, and 18mg is the third of them, the point where the ladder leaves medium and enters strong. SNU is tobacco free and made in the EU, and it's sold in a white can with a band of colour. The lid spells the brand SNÜ. This is the can for people who liked the flavour lower down and want more behind it.
What it tastes like
The flavour is spiced cola lifted by sweet cherry, exactly as it is in the other three cans. Cola comes through first with a gentle spice, and the cherry brings the sweetness. SNU's own word for the result is rounded, and smooth is the other. It reads as a familiar soft drink from the first moment. A scented patch at the top of the lid, labelled "Rub here to smell the flavour", gives you the cherry cola before the can is open. Side by side with the 12mg can you'd be hard pushed to tell the flavours apart, and that's the point.
How strong it is
Each pouch holds 18mg, printed on the lid as 18MG PER POUCH above a row of six filled dots. On the shop's strength scale the strong band runs from 16mg up to 25mg, so this can sits in its lower half. Below it, the 9mg and 12mg Cherry Cola cans both fall in the medium band. Above it, the 45mg can sits in the extreme band. That makes 18mg the only strong band Cherry Cola on the shelf.
