Nicotine pouch brands, and how to tell them apart

What separates one brand of snus from the next, once every lid starts to look alike? Three things do most of the work: how strong the pouches are, what the flavours lean towards, and the size of the pouch. Know those and a long shelf feels short.

This guide to the nicotine pouch brands on our shelf covers how they differ, the big eight, the newer and smaller names, and how to find a brand by strength. Start here, then follow the link to the brand that sounds like yours.

How the brands differ

Strength comes first, because the spread is wide. The lightest cans on our shelf are under 4mg a pouch and the strongest sit far past 25mg. One brand may cross three bands of our strength scale, and another may hold a single strength throughout.

Flavour style is the second difference. Some brands are built around mint, and some lead with fruit, cola and sweet shop flavours. Format is the third. Slim is the pouch you'll meet most often, and a few brands also make a smaller mini. Side by side, those three facts tell you most of what a brand is about.

The big eight, one at a time

ZYN comes from Swedish Match and leans towards mint, in Mini and Slim pouches from 3mg to 16.5mg. Pablo is known for strong snus and runs across four lines from Silver Edition at 10.15mg to Exclusive at 30mg. Killa keeps every can at 13.2mg in a slim pouch, so the whole choice is flavour, and fruit leads the list. 77 climbs four steps from 5.2mg to 20mg, with a mini pouch at the top.

VELO sorts into Lower, Regular and Full Strength, from 4mg to 17mg, and it's the home of the fruit Ice cans, where a fruit comes with a fresh mint twinge. ALP is an American brand, new on the shelf, with every flavour at 6mg, 12mg and 18mg. White Fox is Swedish and mostly mint, in slim pouches from 4mg to 17mg. Juice Head is the other new arrival, a Californian brand that puts fruit first, at 6mg and 14mg.

Newer and smaller brands to explore

Below the big eight, New on the shelf shows the latest arrivals, One from every brand lines up a single can from each, and every brand is then listed A to Z.

The smaller brands often do one thing and do it clearly. Helwit is a Swedish brand that stays in the light band, from 3.5mg to 7.5mg. CUBA runs three lines, White at 10.4mg, Ninja from 15.6mg to 150mg and Black at 43mg. Iceberg keeps every can at 56mg, so the choice there is flavour alone.

How to find a brand by strength

Our strength scale has four bands, measured in nicotine per pouch. Light is under 8mg, medium is 8mg up to 16mg, strong is 16mg up to 25mg, and extreme is 25mg and over. For light cans, look at Helwit, ZYN, VELO, 77, ALP, White Fox and Juice Head. Medium is where Killa sits, with Pablo Silver Edition and much of ZYN, VELO and 77 beside it.

For strong, look at Pablo Gold Edition and Original, ALP at 18mg, 77 at 20mg and White Fox at 16mg and 17mg. Extreme means Pablo Exclusive, CUBA Black, the CUBA Ninja 150mg cans and Iceberg. To start from the number, Pick your strength on the nicotine pouches page sorts the shelf by band. Find your band, then choose the brand.

FAQ

Questions about nicotine pouch brands

Which nicotine pouch brands do you stock?

The big eight are ZYN, Pablo, Killa, 77, VELO, ALP, White Fox and Juice Head. The full list runs A to Z on this page.

Which brands make extreme strength snus?

Pablo Exclusive is 30mg a pouch, CUBA Black is 43mg, every Iceberg can is 56mg and the CUBA Ninja 150mg cans are 150mg. All of them sit in the extreme band on our strength scale.

Which brands make light snus?

Helwit sits entirely in the light band, from 3.5mg to 7.5mg. ZYN starts at 3mg, VELO and White Fox at 4mg, 77 at 5.2mg, and ALP and Juice Head at 6mg.

Are Pablo and Killa made by the same company?

Yes. Both are brands of N.G.P Tobacco ApS, a Danish company.

What is the difference between a slim and a mini pouch?

Size. Slim is the longer pouch, and mini is the smaller one. ZYN makes both, and 77 uses a mini pouch for its 20mg cans.

Do you stock caffeine pouch brands too?

Yes. They have a section of their own on this page. Those are caffeine pouches, marked nicotine free.
