The lightest White Fox on the shelf
White Fox is known for its mints, and Original is the one the brand built everything else on. It's the plain blue can, the one with the white geometric fox head and no flavour name on the lid, and the maker simply calls it White Fox Mint. Original is our name for it, and 1 Paw is the version at 6mg a pouch, the lightest White Fox on our shelf. The brand is made in Sweden by the company formerly called GN Tobacco, with a factory the maker says is in Enköping. Side by side with Original 12mg, this is the same mint at half the strength. What it tastes like
A fresh mint with spearmint behind it. The mint leads, clean and bright, and the spearmint rounds it off with the sweeter, softer note that spearmint always brings. That's the whole flavour, and it's the reason the blue can needs no name on the lid. There's no menthol pushing it colder, no pepper and no fruit. The maker says the pouches are flavoured with essential oils. If you've tried any White Fox before, this is the flavour they all start from.
How strong it is
Each pouch carries 6mg of nicotine. On our scale that sits in the light band, which runs from 1mg to 8mg, and it's the only White Fox on our shelf in that band. The rest of the brand here steps up from there: Double Mint at 8mg, then Original, Double Mint and Peppered Mint at 12mg, and Full Charge at 16mg at the top. So in snus terms this is the gentle end of a brand with a long ladder above it. The pouches are tobacco free, which the maker describes as made without tobacco leaf or stem. The lid carries the fox, the White Fox wordmark and the words Made in Sweden.

Who it is for

It's the natural first White Fox for someone who uses snus now and then rather than all day, and for regular users who want a lighter can to keep alongside a stronger one. It also suits people who have tried the 12mg Original and would like the same flavour with less behind it.
