The cooler White Fox, turned up
Double Mint 12mg is the dark green White Fox with a bit more behind it. It's mint and menthol, the cooler of the brand's two plain mints, at 12mg a pouch. White Fox is made in Sweden by the company formerly called GN Tobacco, and every lid says Made in Sweden under the white geometric fox head. On our shelf it sits alongside Double Mint 8mg, the same flavour at a lower strength, and next to Original and Peppered Mint at the same 12mg. Twenty pouches in a 15 g can. If the 8mg one felt like a warm up, this is the main event.
What it tastes like
Tastes like biting into a mint that's been kept in the fridge. The mint is clean and a touch sweet, and the menthol lands straight on top of it with the cool, nose clearing edge that menthol always brings. The two don't take turns, they arrive together and stay together, which is why the name says double. No fruit, no pepper, nothing to distract from the mint. The maker says the pouches are flavoured with essential oils. Green can, cool flavour, no surprises.
How strong it is
Each pouch carries 12mg of nicotine. On our scale that lands in the medium band, which runs from 8mg to 16mg, and a little past the middle of it.
