Grape in a different shape
What happens when a brand redraws the pouch itself? VELO's answer is Shift, a line with a rounded pouch in a hexagonal can. The maker calls that pouch the Comfort format, and it sits apart from the slim pouches in the rest of the range. Velo Shift Hot Grape 8mg is the grape flavour in that line. It's a sweet grape, and the word Hot on the lid has a meaning of its own. Start here if you know your grape and want to see what Shift is about.
What it tastes like
The flavour is sweet grape, full and fruity, and it leads from the first moment. The Hot in the name is the second half of the story. VELO describes it as a warming sensation, balanced with the grape. So the fruit arrives first and the warmth sits alongside it. There's no mint in this can. That pairing of sweet fruit and warmth is what the three Shift Hot cans on our shelf have in common.
How strong it is
Each pouch holds 8mg. On our strength scale that's the medium band, which runs from 8mg up to 16mg, and 8mg is where it begins. Side by side, the three Shift cans we stock all carry the same figure, so Hot Grape, Hot Peach and Hot Dragonfruit differ in flavour only. Velo Purple Grape 8mg matches the number too, in a slim pouch. That makes this an easy line to explore, because the strength is already decided. The choice left to you is the fruit and the shape.

Who it is for
This can suits you if you use snus regularly and like a sweet fruit flavour. It's a natural choice if you already enjoy Purple Grape and want to try the rounded Shift pouch at the same strength. It also suits anyone curious about the Hot cans who would like to begin with a familiar fruit. If you prefer your grape lighter, Velo Purple Grape 4mg sits in the light band.
Every hexagonal can holds 20 pouches, all tobacco free. VELO is made by BAT. Pick up a single can to see how the Comfort format sits with you. If you only try one Shift flavour first, grape is a familiar way in.
