Two berries behind one name
What does blue raspberry mean on a VELO can? Here it means two fruits, a sweet blend of blueberry and raspberry, in a slim pouch at 8mg. VELO is BAT's brand, and its shelf runs wide, from plain mints through fruit to cans that pair the two. Blue Raspberry sits firmly on the fruit side, with no mint in its description at all. At 8mg it also sits right at the foot of our medium band. If you want a berry can from this brand, start here.
What it tastes like
The flavour is a blend, and both halves matter. Blueberry and raspberry arrive together and read as one sweet berry flavour, with neither fruit crowding the other. The maker describes it simply as a sweet blend of blueberry and raspberry, and that is the whole picture. There is no mint here, so the fruit carries the pouch from start to finish. It is worth knowing before you order that the name on the lid tells only half the story. Sweet, round and berry led.
How strong it is
Each pouch holds 8mg. On our strength scale the medium band runs from 8mg up to 16mg, so this can stands on its first rung, with light below it and strong beginning at 16mg. Side by side with the rest of our VELO shelf, 8mg is a middle figure. The 6mg cans such as Velo Ruby Berry sit just beneath it, and the 10mg cans sit just above. VELO states strength as nicotine per pouch, which makes the comparison simple. A medium can, at the lower edge of medium.

Who it is for
Blue Raspberry suits you if you use snus regularly and prefer fruit to mint. It also suits anyone who knows 6mg well and wants the next step up without leaving the berry family, since Velo Ruby Berry is the red berry can one rung below. If you like your berries with mint alongside, Velo Icy Berries at 14mg is the one to look at. If you only try one berry can from VELO at this strength, make it this.
Every can holds 20 slim pouches, all tobacco free. Slim is VELO's standard pouch format, so it will feel familiar if you already know the brand. A single can is the sensible way to meet the flavour. Sweet berry, medium strength, slim pouch.
