Guava with a mint lift, at 25mg
Guava doesn't turn up in many cans, so when it does it deserves a proper welcome. Garant Extreme Ice Guava is a sweet, tropical guava snus with a fresh mint lift, from the Garant Extreme line, with 25mg in every pouch. Garant is made by UAB Kordula, a Lithuanian company, and the pouches are tobacco free. The Extreme line is a long row of flavours that all sit at the same 25mg, and the Ice cans are the ones where a fruit gets a minty finish. On our scale, 25mg is the first rung of the extreme band. A holiday fruit at the top of the shelf.
What it tastes like
Tastes like the pink inside of a guava, sweet and a little floral, the kind of fruit you first meet on holiday and then can't find at home. The guava leads from the first second, soft and tropical, with a touch of that perfumed edge guava has. Then the Ice part arrives as a light, fresh mint lift at the back, which keeps the sweetness bright. The fruit stays in front the whole way through; the mint simply tidies the finish. It's a fruit can with a fresh ending, not a mint can with fruit in it. Sunshine, then a breeze.
How strong it is
Each pouch carries 25mg of nicotine, which puts Extreme Ice Guava at the entry to the extreme band on our scale, the band that starts at 25mg. That's the top of the shelf. The whole Garant Extreme line sits at this same figure, so Ice Guava is level with Fresh Mint, Citrus, Grape and the rest, and only the flavour changes. The pouches are tobacco free and made by Kordula in Lithuania. A sweet tropical fruit with a fresh finish can make a strong can feel friendlier than the number, so keep the number in mind. It's 25mg in a sunhat.

Who it is for
Extreme Ice Guava suits snus users who already use the strong band, like a tropical fruit and want the step up to 25mg with a fresh finish on it. It's a good pick for anyone who enjoys the less common fruit flavours and wants one at the top of the scale.
For the same idea with a different fruit, Extreme Ice Peach and Extreme Ice Blueberry sit alongside it at 25mg, and Extreme Mango Lime is the other tropical can in the line. For guava with a mint lift at full strength, this is the one. Sorted.
