Frostbite is a mint, which the name alone does not tell you, and ALP places it at the top of its cooling scale. Eighteen milligrams a pouch is the top of its strength range too. The brand is American, started in 2024, and has been on sale in the UK since July 2026. Frostbite was one of four flavours added for that launch.
What it tastes like
ALP describes Frostbite as a sharp mint with strong cooling, and as the most intense mint option in its range. The description is all mint and cool, with no fruit in it. It helps to see the five mints side by side, as ALP ranks them. Sweet Mint and Spearmint are the lightest, Chilled Mint is the middle, and Mountain Wintergreen is the herbal one. Frostbite sits above them all on cooling. If cooling is the quality you look for first in a mint, this is the tin built around it.
How strong it is
Each pouch holds 18mg, stated per pouch as on every ALP tin. On the shop's scale that falls in the strong band, which runs from 16mg up to 25mg. ALP makes three strengths, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg, and this is the highest. Frostbite at 12mg sits in the medium band, and Frostbite at 6mg sits in the light band. The mint and its cooling are described the same way at every strength. The cooling belongs to the flavour and the 18mg belongs to the strength, and it is worth keeping the two apart in your mind.

Who it is for
This tin suits you if you use snus regularly, already buy from the strong band, and want the most cooling mint ALP offers. It is the obvious next tin if you know Frostbite at 12mg and want the top strength. If strong tins are new to you, the 12mg carries the same mint in the medium band. If you are newer to snus, the 6mg is the one to begin with.
