The mint that named itself after the weather
Some names tell you the flavour. Frostbite tells you the forecast. So here's the bit the lid leaves out: ALP Frostbite 6mg is a mint, and ALP calls it the most intense mint in its range. ALP is an American brand that started out in the United States in 2024 and turned up in the UK in July 2026. Frostbite is one of four flavours that were new when the range landed here. What it tastes like
Tastes like opening the back door in January and breathing in before you've thought it through. The flavour is a sharp mint with strong cooling behind it, and it stays mint from start to finish. No fruit drops by, and nothing else asks for a turn. ALP puts five mint led flavours in this range and ranks Frostbite at the top of its own cooling scale. The brand also describes its pouches as moist. If the cool part of a mint is the part you like best, this tin has made it the main event.
How strong it is
Each pouch holds 6mg, and ALP labels every tin by the nicotine in a single pouch, so the number means what it says. On the shop's strength scale that's the light band, which covers everything under 8mg. ALP makes each of its flavours at 6mg, 12mg and 18mg, and this is the first of the three. So the loudest mint in the range comes with the lowest number, which is a nice bit of mischief. Frostbite is also on the shelf at 12mg and 18mg if you fancy the same mint further up. Big on cooling, light on strength.
