Pineapple and mango at 9mg
The short answer is that Nordic Spirit Tropical Mix is a pineapple and mango flavor from the brand's Moist range, at 9mg of nicotine a pouch. Nordic Spirit is a JTI brand, created in Sweden and first launched there in 2018, with the pouches now produced in Poland. The maker describes the Moist range as having increased moisture for a softer feel and quicker flavor release, and says its Moist cans were redesigned to be slimmer. The 9mg strength is labeled Strong on the lid, which also shows the strength as a row of dots. Twenty standard size pouches to a can, tobacco free. A good place to start with fruit from this brand.
How it tastes
Here's how it works. The maker describes it as a blend of ripe pineapple and mango for sweetness and freshness, and that is what you get: pineapple for the bright, slightly sharp edge, mango for the soft, ripe sweetness, the two sharing the pouch evenly from start to finish. There is no mint in this can, so there is no cooling at all, which is rare in the Nordic Spirit lineup. What to know against the other fruit cans: Raspberry is tangy, Forest Berries is dark berries and blackcurrant, and Tropical Mix is the warm, sunny one.
How strong it is
Every pouch has 9mg of nicotine, which is the medium band on our scale, from 8mg up to 16mg, close to the lower edge. The maker's own word for 9mg is Strong, printed on the can, and its range steps from Regular at 6mg to Strong at 9mg and then to 11mg. So on the brand's ladder this is the middle step, and on our scale it is a gentle medium. For adults already in the medium band it is an easy everyday number. For anyone used to the 6mg cans, it is the natural next step. Twenty tobacco free pouches to a can.
