VELO's new shape, in peppermint
VELO Shift is the newest line from BAT's nicotine pouch brand, and it looks different from the rest of the range on purpose. BAT launched it in Sweden in 2025 as a pouch with a different shape, designed for comfort, with rounded edges on the pouch and a six sided can. The maker calls the format Comfort, and every Shift can sits at 8mg a pouch. Cool Peppermint is the mint with a cooling sensation, the counterpart to Hot Spearmint, which runs warm. What it tastes like
Peppermint, clean and fresh, with a cooling feel the maker builds into the Shift range. The peppermint leads from the first pouch and stays in front, and the cool sensation sits behind it rather than over it. There's no fruit in the can and no second mint named, so it reads as one clear flavour with a fresh finish. It's the familiar peppermint most people know from the VELO mint cans, carried in the new rounded pouch. For anyone who already likes a VELO peppermint, this is the same idea in a different shape.
How strong it is
Each pouch carries 8mg of nicotine, which sits at the start of the medium band on our scale, the one that runs from 8mg to 16mg. Every Shift can is 8mg, so there's no stronger or lighter version to choose between: the choice within Shift is the flavour. The maker's page gives three dots for Shift, 11.4mg a gram and 20 pouches in the can.
