What it tastes like
Tastes like a mint that's been told to take its time. ALP's word for it is smooth, and the cooling is pitched at moderate, so it's cool without making a performance of it. As ALP ranks its own mints, Sweet Mint and Spearmint are the lightest and Frostbite is the most intense. Chilled Mint sits happily in between. It's mint all the way through, with no fruit dropping in. The brand also says its pouches are moist.
How strong it is
Each pouch holds 18mg, counted per pouch, the way ALP labels every tin. On the shop's scale that's the strong band, which runs from 16mg up to 25mg. ALP makes each flavour at 6mg, 12mg and 18mg, and it doesn't go any higher than this one. Chilled Mint at 12mg sits in the medium band, and at 6mg it sits in the light band. So you've got the middle mint at the top strength. A smooth flavour with plenty stood behind it.
