Zesty orange with a tingle
The short answer is that Orange Spark is zesty orange followed by a tingling sensation, at 17mg a pouch. It belongs to VELO's Sensations series, where the maker names each can for what it does: Flame warms, Spark tingles, Storm cools. VELO is the nicotine pouch brand of BAT, British American Tobacco, and its UK site lists Orange Spark as a slim pouch at 10mg and 17mg. This is the 17mg can, the top of the VELO range, and it sits in the Full Strength tier here with Mango Flame, Purple Grape and Icy Berries. What to know is that Orange Ice at 10mg is the same fruit with a fresh finish and far less behind it.
How it tastes
Orange leads, zesty and ripe, more peel and juice than candy. Then the tingle shows up, a lively prickle the maker credits to ingredients it calls VELO Sensates, and it runs under the fruit for the rest of the pouch. There is no mint and no cooling edge here, so the brightness comes from the citrus and the sensation. It reads like orange with a little fizz built in. If you like citrus that does something beyond taste, this is the can for that.
How strong it is
Here's how it works. Each pouch has 17mg of nicotine, which puts it in the strong band on our scale, 16mg to 25mg. That is the highest strength VELO makes, and the maker's figures for a 17mg slim can work out to 24mg a gram with six dots on the can. It is built for adults who use nicotine pouches every day and want a strong one. Each slim can holds 20 pouches and weighs 14 g. The pouches are tobacco free, and the maker lists the contents as water, plant based materials, flavorings, sweeteners and nicotine. For the tingle at a lower strength, VELO also makes Orange Spark at 10mg.

Who it is for
Orange Spark 17mg fits adults who use nicotine pouches every day, like citrus and want VELO's top strength with a sensation alongside. It is the natural step up from Orange Ice at 10mg for anyone who wants the same fruit with much more behind it. It also suits people who are curious about the Sensations series and want to start with the tingling one.
For warmth instead, Mango Flame is the Sensations can at the same 17mg. For 17mg fruit without a sensation, Icy Berries has a minty cool and Purple Grape is plain grape. For orange at full strength, this is the can.
