Peach iced tea, pouch edition
Think of the peach iced tea in the cooler at the gas station on a road trip, sweet and easy and gone before the next exit. Après Ice Tea Peach is that flavor as a nicotine pouch. Après is a Swedish brand from Stockholm, its pouches are tobacco free, and it likes naming cans after drinks, Hugo Spritz and Tangerine Spritz among them. Each pouch carries 8.3mg of nicotine, the lower of the two Après strengths on our shelf. It is the relaxed flavor in a lineup heavy on citrus. If peach is your fruit, you are in the right place.
How it tastes
Here's the fun part. Peach leads the whole way, soft and sweet, and the tea in the name gives it a place to sit so it reads as a drink rather than a piece of fruit. There is no mint in the can, which means all the freshness comes from the peach itself. The flavor holds steady from the first pouch to the last. Après describes its cans by name only, and this name says everything. Peach iced tea, with 8.3mg behind it.
How strong it is
Each pouch has 8.3mg of nicotine. On our strength scale that is medium, the band from 8mg to 16mg, and 8.3mg sits right at the start. Après builds its range around strength, with lines the maker calls Normal, Extra Strong and Hypèr Strong, and 8.3mg per pouch is the Extra Strong figure. Ice Tea Peach also comes at 11mg on our shelf, the Hypèr Strong number, so the same flavor has two strengths to choose from. This is the gentler of the pair. In the maker's own words, the pouches contain nicotine but no tobacco. Good to go for an easygoing medium.
