The mint that comes in three strengths
Which Nordic Spirit flavour gives you the most room to move? On this shelf it's Sweet Mint, the only one stocked at all three of the brand's strengths here. Nordic Spirit is a JTI brand, created in Sweden, with the pouches now produced in Poland. This page is the 9mg can, the middle of the three. The maker's name for it is Sweet Mint Strong, and that is what the can says. Same flavour as its neighbours, one step apart in strength.
What it tastes like
Sweet Mint is fresh mint with sweet notes alongside it. The maker describes instant freshness of mint with complementary sweet notes, and leaves the type of mint unnamed. So read the name literally. It is a mint flavour, cool and fresh, with sweetness as its second note. The can sits in the Moist range, which Nordic Spirit labels on the pack. Moist, as the maker puts it, means increased moisture for a softer feel.
How strong it is
Each pouch holds 9mg, which the shop's strength scale places in the medium band. That band runs from 8mg up to 16mg. Side by side, the three Sweet Mint cans read 6mg, 9mg and 11mg, so this one has a can below it and a can above it. Strong is the maker's label for 9mg and appears on the can. The lid carries the mg figure and shows strength as dots. If you know one Sweet Mint can already, you know where this one stands.

Who it is for
Sweet Mint 9mg suits regular snus users who like a sweeter mint in the medium band. It is the natural middle choice for anyone who has tried the 6mg can and wants the next figure, with the 11mg can still above. Mint users arriving from another brand at a similar figure will find the number familiar. If you are choosing your first Nordic Spirit can and you are new to snus, the 6mg Sweet Mint is the one to open first.
A can holds 20 slim pouches, tobacco free, with a place in the lid for used ones. The maker has moved its Moist cans to a slimmer can. Order one and see where on the ladder you sit. Start here.
