The Apres guideApres: four strengths, one slim can
What do a limoncello, a lemon curd and a mochaccino have in common? On this shelf, a white can with a coloured ring. Apres is a Swedish brand from Stockholm, and its flavour list reads like a café menu with a menthol at the top. On our shelf it comes at four strengths, 4.4mg, 5.5mg, 8.3mg and 11mg a pouch, which covers the light band and the medium band on our scale. Every can is slim, with 20 pouches inside. So the choice with Apres is a simple one. Settle the number first, then the flavour.
This page takes the cans from lightest to strongest, names each flavour, and covers the maker, our strength scale, the can and how to choose. Start here, then pick your can.
01Who makes Apres
Apres is a Swedish brand from Stockholm. In the maker's own words it's a Swedish brand that produces and sells pouches containing nicotine but no tobacco, and it describes itself as a young company. Its stated goal is to offer its flavours in different formats and nicotine strengths. The maker says its products are now sold in several countries, in shops and online.
You can see that thinking in how the maker arranges its own range, which is by strength first. That suits the way our shelf works too. The same flavour name can appear at more than one strength, as Blueberry and Menthol both do here, so Apres rewards anyone who reads the lid properly. The maker also says the can is made of recyclable plastic, to be sorted as plastic. One brand, one can shape, and a flavour list with a character of its own.
02Where Apres sits on our strength scale
Our scale sorts every can by the nicotine in one pouch. Light is anything under 8mg. Medium runs from 8mg up to 16mg. Strong runs from 16mg up to 25mg, and extreme is 25mg and over. Apres on our shelf uses the first two bands. Blueberry at 4.4mg and the Limoncello at 5.5mg are light. The 8.3mg and 11mg cans are medium.
Within medium there are two steps. The 8.3mg cans sit just over the 8mg line, at the very start of the band. The 11mg cans sit a little below its midpoint. So the whole Apres shelf runs from 4.4mg to 11mg, and each step along it is a modest one. A word on the lid, too. Each can has a row of small dots at its edge, and some carry the maker's own line name. Read those as part of the design, and shop by the mg a pouch shown on our page. That's the figure our bands are built on.
03What's in the can
Every Apres can on our shelf is the same format. The pouch is slim, there are 20 pouches in a can, and the net weight is 11g. The pouches contain nicotine but no tobacco. The can itself is white with a coloured ring, with the flavour name in capitals and, on most cans, a number written N° above the brand name. Menthol is N°1, Lemon Curd N°3, Cola N°4, Cactus Lime N°9, Tangerine Spritz N°10, Blueberry N°12, Mochaccino N°13 and Hugo Spritz N°15. The Limoncello has no number. Because the format never changes, moving between strengths changes one thing only, the mg a pouch. Learn the number of your flavour and you'll spot the can at a glance.
04How to choose an Apres flavour
Start with the strength, then choose by family. For citrus there are four cans. Limoncello is the sweet, zesty lemon at 5.5mg, Lemon Curd is the tangy, creamy one at 8.3mg, and Cactus Lime and Tangerine Spritz are both 11mg, one led by lime and one a sweet, juicy tangerine. For berry there's Blueberry, at 4.4mg or 11mg. For something cool there's Menthol, at 8.3mg or 11mg.
Then there are the cans that sit apart. Cola is a classic, sweet cola, Mochaccino is coffee with a chocolate note, and Hugo Spritz is a flavour all of its own. All three are 11mg. Blueberry and Menthol let you keep the taste and change the strength, which is worth knowing if you like a lighter and a fuller can side by side. Still undecided? Pick the flavour you'd order without thinking, then find it at your strength.
